I just took a survey as an Android Developer. They asked me why I don’t use obfuscation, essentially. This was my response:

I don’t like the notion of intellectual property, besides trademark and attribution, and would prefer that people copy and imitate my work as much as they like. I don’t like the notion of monetizing creative information works, i think everyone should have enough money from doing physical work, and people should engage in creativity using free time and resources. Though I do find it appropriate to be compensated for performing informational or creative roles for an entity that delivers a physical product, like being an accountant at a paper company. All my projects are open source.
